Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a remote, part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help safeguard critical infrastructure and sensitive data across a distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact and root cause, and produce detailed reports.
• Implement and maintain security controls to reduce risk and prevent future breaches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across multiple time zones to ensure continuous protection.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS Controls.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
