Remote Real Estate Operations Manager

About the role

Vaulta Storage is seeking a Remote Real Estate Operations Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of its self‑storage portfolio. This full‑time remote position works on U.S. Eastern Time business hours and offers the autonomy to make decisions without constant supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Answer the operations phone line, convert rental inquiries into signed leases, and resolve customer issues.
• Manage the full tenant lifecycle—including move‑ins, move‑outs, unit turnovers, lease terminations, and delinquencies—while keeping the Cubby software up to date.
• Run the lien and auction process for defaulting tenants, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Obtain quotes, coordinate vendors, and oversee repairs or upgrades to gates, doors, cameras, fences, and landscaping.
• Respond to security incidents using camera footage and gate‑access logs, following each case through to resolution.
• Assist with onboarding newly acquired facilities by transferring utilities, setting up phone and software systems, and drafting SOPs.

Required profile

• 2+ years in a customer‑facing operations role with ownership of outcomes (e.g., apartment/property management, leasing, facilities management).
• Strong judgment, proactive planning, and a track record of seeing tasks through to completion.
• Excellent phone presence and clear written and spoken English.
• Reliable remote work setup with high‑speed internet and backup power/internet plan.
