Restaurant Hostess

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at our restaurant in 6th of October City, Egypt. The role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere and supporting smooth dining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional manner.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about the restaurant.
• Maintain an organized and clean reception area.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns or complaints.
• Track wait times and communicate updates to guests.
• Ensure menus are clean and up‑to‑date.
• Support special events or large group bookings.
• Keep up‑to‑date with menu items, daily specials and promotions.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of energy and professionalism at all times.
• Excellent personal presentation and grooming standards.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and dining etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math skills for managing reservations and table assignments.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
