Restaurant Manager – Cairo Downtown Nile

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the dining operations at Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile. You will be responsible for delivering a memorable guest experience while upholding the brand’s standards of luxury hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a positive dining experience, handle guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly.
• Control operational costs, monitor waste, and identify efficiency improvements.
• Prepare detailed weekly, monthly and annual revenue and expense reports.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure the restaurant is fully stocked.
• Develop and execute strategies to attract new guests and retain existing ones, including promotions, special events and menu updates.
• Enforce food safety, health regulations and overall safety standards.
• Coach, mentor and motivate staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Recruit, interview, train and schedule team members, manage payroll data and track employee hours.
• Conduct performance appraisals, address performance issues and provide retraining when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hospitality, preferably food‑service management within luxury hotels or resorts.
• Strong leadership, organizational and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, health regulations and operational procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with Opera or a related property‑management system.
