Retail Support Tech Specialist

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Retail Support Tech Specialist to join its application support team. You will work during regular hours and be on‑call to resolve technical issues for global and individual users, ensuring service continuity and system security across key retail platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line application support and on‑call incident resolution for Vodafone Risk, Wincash, Extranet and Eshop systems.
• Perform technical reviews, system upgrades, and service restoration activities.
• Integrate support solutions with back‑end services and maintain system security standards.
• Deploy and configure new system releases and manage change across multiple departments.
• Produce analytical reports and documentation for incidents and improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Vodafone frontline call‑center or similar environment.
• Strong cross‑functional communication skills and ability to interact with all organisational levels.
• Excellent time‑management and change‑management capabilities.
• Fundamental knowledge of project management principles.

Required skills

• Programming experience (Shell scripting, Java).
• Unix/Linux administration.
• Oracle database, SQL/PLSQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Siebel IP17+ administration.
• UIPath automation.
• Expert level use of customer‑care systems.
