Risk Manager

About the role

Geidea is seeking a Risk Manager to implement and maintain its risk management framework for the Egyptian market. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring material risks across the organization, ensuring that controls are effective and that risk exposure is minimized.

Key responsibilities

• Systematically identify, assess, and monitor operational, reputation, financial crime, and fraud risks.
• Maintain a risk register for all departments, documenting impact, inherent risk, and mitigating controls.
• Oversee incident reporting, operational loss tracking, chargeback management, and suspected transaction investigations.
• Provide senior oversight of merchant and business risk exposure, applying risk parameters, early‑warning indicators, and escalation mechanisms.
• Monitor chargeback cases, investigate root causes, and drive corrective actions to reduce financial loss.
• Coordinate with acquirer banks on suspected transactions and adjust merchant risk parameters as needed.
• Support monthly reviews of e‑commerce merchants to detect changing risk ratings and early‑warning signals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in risk and compliance roles.
• Proven experience with risk assessment and management techniques.
