Sales Manager – Cosmetics & Perfumes – Africa

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead SD Group’s sales operations for cosmetics and perfumes across Zambia, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence and strengthening relationships with distributors, retailers and other partners. The role combines strategic planning, team leadership and hands‑on market execution to ensure strong brand representation and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets across Zambia.
• Lead, coach and monitor the sales team, set individual targets and KPIs, and conduct regular field visits.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and key customers, negotiating agreements and promotional activities.
• Coordinate with warehouse and supply‑chain teams to ensure product availability and manage inventory planning.
• Analyze sales data, prepare forecasts, budgets and performance reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• 5–7 years of sales experience in cosmetics, perfumes or FMCG, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market share, preferably in the Zambian market.
• Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, pharmacies and retail networks.

• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities for market analysis and sales forecasting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
