SAP Basis Consultant

About the role

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join its global SAP operations team in Egypt. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end administration of SAP landscapes, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day SAP Basis administration, including system installation, configuration, and provisioning.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance using SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools.
• Manage system refreshes, client administration, kernel upgrades, patching, and transport activities.
• Implement SAP Notes, support packages, and perform sizing and capacity planning.
• Coordinate backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability processes to ensure business continuity.
• Handle RFC connections, background jobs, and other interface‑related tasks.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and global delivery groups to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of hands‑on SAP Basis experience in complex, multi‑system landscapes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture, ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP HANA database administration.
• Proven experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and security/authorization concepts.
• Familiarity with managed‑services delivery models and global support processes.
