Security Guard - Facilities Support

About the role

instashop, an online local marketplace in the UAE and Egypt and part of the Delivery Hero group, is hiring a Facilities Support (security guard) in Cairo. The role ensures the safety and security of the premises, employees and visitors, and is described as a key part of instashop's commitment to a secure workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and exits, conduct regular patrols and manage access control to prevent unauthorised entry
• Patrol the property randomly or regularly to detect damage and security breaches
• Protect property assets and tenants from theft, damage or accidents
• Provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security
• Respond to alarms and requests for help
• Prepare written reports of observations and incidents
• Contact relevant authorities to deal with unlawful or irregular activities
• Monitor and prevent the movement of prohibited items into and out of the property

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of proven experience in the same field
• Detail-oriented with strong observation skills
• Excellent knowledge of security operations and safety practices
• Knowledge of security laws and regulations
• Good professional appearance and attitude
• Flexible with different work schedules
