Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer will safeguard guests, staff, and property at Rixos Premium Seagate, a luxury resort in Sharm El Sheikh. Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the role involves constant vigilance, incident response, and coordination with hotel management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security across the hotel in line with management directives.
• Monitor and control human and vehicle traffic, ensuring proper identification and access.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, sabotage, injuries, fights, bomb threats, or suspicious packages.
• Document incidents accurately, prepare detailed reports, and hand over information during shift changes.
• Ensure all security equipment (walkie‑talkies, detectors, telephones) is functional, charged, and well‑maintained.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team and support evacuation procedures.
• Keep the assigned area clean, orderly, and free of hazards.
• Protect guests from external disturbances and enforce hotel policies.

Required profile

• Professional attitude with respect and politeness toward guests, managers, and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a security team.
• Strong observational skills and the capacity to remain alert day and night.
• Willingness to follow established procedures for detaining individuals and handling threats.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of walkie‑talkies.
• Use of security detectors and related equipment.
• Handling of telephone communication devices in a security context.
