Semi-Solid Production Supervisor

About the role

GSK is hiring a Semi-Solid Production Supervisor who holds overall responsibility for the correct and efficient operation of the production area during his shift. The main function is to meet production targets while complying with GSK's EHS and quality standards. The position is fully on-site and requires working on a rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely supply of materials to the area according to the monthly production plan
• Organise with the foreman an efficient shift start-up and lead all production activities with good efficiency and labour control
• Guide a team of production machine operators and line leaders
• Collect data for shift and monthly production and productivity reports, attend MTD meetings and report machinery malfunctions to Engineering
• Monitor cleanliness and housekeeping (5S) and follow up until the area is ready for inspection
• Follow up area CAPAs/CCRs and close them before their due dates
• Report GMP deviations during the shift and ensure staff training on SOPs, DRAs and adherence to Data Integrity (ALCOA) and confirmatory GEMBA
• Contribute to ZAPs/ZIPs/ZWIPs and risk assessments, and implement GPS basics (problem solving, performance management, CIs, 5S, GEMBA, LSW)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical disciplines
• Proven experience in production activities within a manufacturing pharmaceutical environment
• 3 years' supervisory experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Quick problem-solving ability and good supervision and communication skills
• Ability to train operators and give clear direction
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Data integrity, GxP compliance, quality compliance and risk awareness
