Senior Accountant – Construction & Project Finance (Egypt & Saudi Arabia)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for our construction and project portfolio across Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The role combines core financial reporting with project cost control, inter‑company accounting, and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions and ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments and cost‑to‑complete estimates; produce WIP and profitability reports.
• Validate subcontractor and supplier invoices, allocate labor, material and equipment costs to projects.
• Maintain separate accounting records for Egyptian and Saudi entities, handle inter‑company transactions and foreign‑exchange accounting.
• Support tax compliance, VAT documentation and coordinate with external advisers for filings and audits.
• Forecast cash‑flow, track collections and manage treasury activities for both countries.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in construction or project‑based environments.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian and Saudi accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to work with multiple currencies (EGP, SAR) and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to explain variances to management.
