Senior Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Accountant based in Cairo, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting business decision‑making and ensuring compliance with both local and international accounting standards. Working onsite, you will collaborate with a cross‑functional finance team to drive continuous improvement and financial excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, delivering accurate and timely financial reports.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Egyptian regulations and IFRS.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead internal and external audit preparations and liaise with auditors.
• Support tax preparation and ensure compliance with Egyptian tax laws.
• Monitor, improve accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong understanding of Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software such as SAP or Oracle.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
