Senior Air Freight Operations – Import

About the role

PSA BDP is seeking a Senior Air Freight Operations professional to lead its import activities. The role focuses on coordinating air‑freight shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring cost‑effective routing, compliance with regulations, and high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate air‑freight rates, maintain quotation data and monitor win‑loss ratios.
• Oversee daily inbound air‑import shipments, optimizing routing and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and process import documentation such as HAWB/MAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs entries.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to secure timely clearance and ensure TSA and local regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with overseas agents, airlines and ground handling agents to monitor arrivals, arrange cargo breakdown and release.
• Issue accurate billing, invoices and arrival notices; verify airline/vendor invoices against tariffs.
• Provide timely cargo status updates to customers and ensure invoicing within 48 hours of delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in air‑freight import/export operations.
• Knowledge of customs procedures, ground handling agents and carrier communication.
• College or university degree.
• Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MTS system for freight management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
