Senior Associate, Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

PwC's Advisory line of service in Cairo is hiring a Senior Associate Machine Learning Engineer. You will use machine learning and natural language processing to deliver authentic, data-driven change and solutions for PwC and its clients. The team reports to the board and commercial executive and works with clients and PwC leadership across business units to improve performance and create value.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop data science and machine learning assets for PwC and its clients
• Contribute effective code to the Data Science codebase
• Take part in continuous learning through training and skills development
• Deploy and manage machine learning models in production, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance monitoring
• Embed responsible AI practices across the model lifecycle, covering fairness, transparency, explainability, bias mitigation and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards
• Help grow the firm's fast-developing data science capability
• Craft and communicate business stories based on analytics insight, and develop business cases and proposals
• Present findings to senior internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience
• Advanced understanding of statistics, machine learning theory and algorithms, including regression, classification, clustering and unsupervised learning
• Experience delivering end-to-end machine learning solutions, from data sourcing and preprocessing to deployment and interpretation
• Ability to architect full pipelines, from data ingestion and feature engineering through training, validation, deployment, monitoring and retraining, with reproducibility and CI/CD
• Intermediate agility: taking part in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives, breaking work into user stories and collaborating with product owners
• Advanced ability to turn business needs into data science requirements and success metrics, and to own data science projects from proof of concept through delivery
• Strong Python, SQL, Git and data science communication skills
