Senior Costing Accountant – Construction Industry

About the role

Lead the development and implementation of robust cost accounting systems tailored for construction projects, providing financial analysis and insights to support project managers and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost accounting procedures for construction projects.
• Conduct financial analysis of project costs, identify variances and deliver actionable insights.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets and forecasts ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Track and reconcile project expenses, materials and labor costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and procurement to improve cost efficiency.
• Participate in contract review and negotiation, offering financial guidance.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5‑7 years of progressive costing or accounting experience, primarily in the construction industry.
• Proactive, independent and solution‑oriented professional.
