Senior DevOps Engineer - AI Hub

About the role

EY's AI Hub delivers advisory services on data architecture and data-driven transformation, working with cybersecurity, data protection, data analysts and data scientists. As a Senior DevOps Engineer in Cairo, you will design, automate, secure and operate cloud and hybrid platforms for AI-driven applications, owning CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, release governance and production readiness. Azure is the primary platform, with client on-premises and hybrid environments a key delivery context.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with developers, AI/data engineers, product owners, security teams and clients to architect solutions and standardize reliable delivery.
• Build and optimize CI/CD for front-end, back-end, data and AI/ML services (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Define IaC modules and standards (Bicep, Terraform, ARM) and deploy services on Azure (App Service, Functions, Static Web Apps, Container Apps, AKS) with release gates and rollbacks.
• Embed security by design (Entra ID, managed identities, RBAC, Key Vault, private endpoints, scanning and policy checks).
• Set up monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks and incident response (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics).
• Help productionize AI/GenAI workloads (LLMOps/MLOps patterns, quality gates, monitoring).
• Support cloud, hybrid and on-premises deployments and automate operations with PowerShell, Bash, Python or Azure CLI.

Required profile

• 7+ years in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering (infrastructure automation).
• Strong hands-on Azure experience in production, enterprise environments.
• CI/CD pipeline delivery and developer enablement through reusable templates and deployment standards (internal developer platforms a plus).
• Experience with web apps, APIs, containers and serverless on Azure, and with enterprise security and hybrid/on-prem constraints.
• Comfortable in iterative delivery teams (PoCs, MVPs and production).

Required skills

• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD.
• IaC (Bicep, Terraform, ARM or equivalent).
• Docker and container patterns; Kubernetes/AKS strongly preferred.
• Observability, alerting, incident response and production troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-400), deep AKS/Helm knowledge, Azure governance (Landing Zones, Policy, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel), regulated environments, FinOps, SAP/ERP integrations.
