Senior Electrical Engineer – 20+ Years Experience

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with more than 20 years of hands‑on expertise in industrial electrical, power, and process control systems. The successful candidate will lead design, permit management, and technical oversight for complex projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, maintain, and renew all site electrical permits and provide final approval for Method of Work (MOW) documents.
• Create detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for new electrical and PC&IS scopes and verify contractor work.
• Lead design, specification, and engineering of low, medium, and high‑voltage power systems, motor controls (MCCs, VFDs), and critical power infrastructure.
• Perform power system analyses such as load flow, short‑circuit, and arc‑flash studies.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, IEC, and local codes, including grounding, bonding, lightning protection, and hazardous‑area classification.
• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC‑based control systems (Rockwell, Siemens) using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Blocks.
• Select, configure, and calibrate field instrumentation and maintain industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in industrial electrical engineering and PC&IS.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and act as the primary interface with contractors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
