Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer

About the role

Capgemini is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to join its automotive diagnostics team in Egypt. You will lead the design and execution of automated test frameworks for complex automotive software, ensuring high‑quality releases for autonomous and electric vehicle projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust automation testing frameworks for large‑scale automotive software projects, focusing on off‑board diagnostics.
• Create, maintain, and run automated test suites for embedded systems using HIL setups.
• Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git) and collaborate with cross‑functional development teams.
• Mentor junior engineers on automotive‑specific testing techniques and best practices.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve software reliability.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in automation testing framework design and implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with off‑board diagnostics and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) environments.
• Deep knowledge of automotive protocols and tools such as CANoe, AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and version control systems (Git).
• Solid understanding of embedded systems testing and automotive software architecture.
