Senior Full Stack Software Developer

About the role

Outsourcing Advantage is looking for a senior full‑stack software developer to take ownership of an AI‑generated bookkeeping platform and bring it to production. This is a remote, temporary assignment lasting about eight months, ideal for a self‑sufficient professional who can assess, troubleshoot, and improve a complex system with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the existing architecture, codebase and business logic of the bookkeeping platform.
• Identify and resolve technical, functional and data‑integrity issues.
• Design and implement scalable solutions to enhance performance, reliability and usability.
• Prioritise development tasks independently and drive the project to completion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure accounting workflows, calculations, reports and outputs are accurate.
• Debug, refactor, optimise and extend the current codebase.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as needed.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation to guarantee software quality and financial data accuracy.

Required profile

• 6‑7+ years of professional full‑stack development experience.
• Proven track record of owning software projects from planning through deployment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping workflows and financial reporting.
• Experience inheriting, reviewing and improving existing applications, especially AI‑generated codebases.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Docker deployment in development and production environments.
