Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor leads the internal audit function, ensuring audits are performed in line with the organization’s charter, standards and applicable laws. The role requires a thorough understanding of the company’s objectives, processes and risk environment to deliver impartial and actionable audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial and operational audits based on risk assessments, organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Develop audit scopes, objectives and detailed audit plans.
• Collect, analyze and evaluate evidence, documenting findings and conclusions.
• Prepare and present clear audit reports, highlighting issues, risks and recommended corrective actions.
• Communicate audit results to senior management and provide guidance on remediation.
• Monitor the effectiveness of internal control systems and identify weaknesses.
• Lead and coach a team of internal auditors, ensuring high‑quality audit delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA or CISA are a plus.
• Proven experience in internal auditing, risk assessment and control evaluation.
• Strong understanding of audit standards, financial regulations and internal control frameworks.

• Audit methodology and risk‑based auditing techniques.
• Knowledge of internal control evaluation and testing.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
