Senior Lawyer – Corporate & Civil Litigation (Ain Sokhna)

About the role

The Senior Lawyer will support a large industrial organization in Egypt by handling corporate and civil legal matters, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and providing timely counsel to internal stakeholders. The role works closely with the Legal Team Leader to manage litigation, review contracts, and uphold governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the company in legal proceedings and provide expertise in corporate and civil litigation before judicial and governmental authorities.
• Monitor and support finalisation of legal and general assembly procedures with entities such as GAFI, Civil Defence, and the Economic Zone Administration.
• Review, draft, and renew contracts to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business requirements.
• Provide proactive legal advice on emerging risks, precedents, and regulatory matters.
• Prepare legal warnings, notices, and sanctions when required.
• Support compliance initiatives and participate in internal investigations.
• Maintain proper legal documentation and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
• Coach and support junior legal team members to strengthen departmental capability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in legal affairs.
• Solid exposure to corporate and civil litigation.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy‑industry environments is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of contract drafting and legal documentation.
• Familiarity with governmental procedures and regulatory compliance in Egypt.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and Arabic fluency.
