Senior Legal Counsel – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support our contracting and construction business. The role demands strategic legal guidance across complex construction projects, ensuring compliance and protecting the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts, including EPC, FIDIC, subcontractor, NDA and JV agreements.
• Provide legal advice on project development, tendering, procurement and contract execution.
• Advise senior management on legal risks, rights, obligations and strategic options.
• Manage claims, disputes, arbitration and litigation in coordination with external counsel.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional and international construction, labor and industry regulations.
• Guide corporate governance, insurance, environmental and safety matters.
• Develop internal legal policies, procedures and contract management systems.
• Conduct legal due diligence for partnerships, acquisitions or market entry.
• Represent the company in legal and regulatory proceedings as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LL.M. or specialization in Construction Law preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 10–20 years of post‑qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior legal role within construction or infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of construction contract frameworks (FIDIC, JCT, NEC).
• Proven experience managing disputes, claims and arbitration.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.
