Senior Legal Manager

About the role

As a Senior Legal Manager you will partner with business teams across North Africa and the Middle East to provide strategic legal guidance, manage risk and support Novartis’ commercial objectives. You will be the primary point of contact for contract, dispute and litigation matters, ensuring that legal solutions are practical and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to deliver risk‑based legal advice and solutions.
• Lead legal support for North Africa and Middle East markets, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Assess legal risks and recommend actions to protect business interests.
• Advise on litigation, investigations and contract disputes as needed.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve legal team culture, collaboration and efficiency.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry developments.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice law in Egypt.
• Approximately 8 years of legal experience supporting commercial or corporate organisations.
• Proven ability to provide practical legal advice and balanced risk assessments.
• Experience drafting, negotiating and advising on a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
• Successful track record working in a complex matrix environment and partnering with business leaders.
