Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Engineer will ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all factory machinery and equipment. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance planning, and technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for all production equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of mechanical components (motors, bearings, gearboxes) and electrical systems (panels, wiring, sensors).
• Apply predictive techniques to detect potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• Diagnose and resolve complex faults in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new machinery and automation equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, performing risk assessments and enforcing lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, track recurring issues and provide data‑driven improvement recommendations.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for timely sourcing.
• Supervise, train and support maintenance technicians, ensuring adherence to standards and operational discipline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 4‑5 years of maintenance experience in FMCG, manufacturing or high‑volume production environments.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices.

• Control panels, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, electrical wiring and fault diagnostics.
• Motors, pumps, conveyors, gear systems, alignment and mechanical drawings.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Lockout/Tagout procedures and industrial safety compliance.
