Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer leads and supervises all mechanical maintenance activities to ensure high reliability and availability of production equipment at Tank's facility in 10th of Ramadan City. The role focuses on reducing downtime, improving performance, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical maintenance tasks, provide technical support, and ensure rapid troubleshooting of breakdowns.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mixers, and tanks.
• Analyze equipment failures, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to enhance reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production and other departments to minimise interruptions.
• Lead mechanical improvement projects, support new equipment installations, and contribute to Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, permit‑to‑work, lockout/tagout procedures, and conduct safety audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Previous experience supervising maintenance technicians is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles and industrial equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating and static equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and reliability‑centered maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with condition monitoring, root‑cause analysis and CMMS/ERP maintenance systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
