Senior Media Relations Specialist

About the role

MOUNT, a full‑scale 360° communication agency, is looking for a Senior Media Relations Specialist to join its Cairo office. The role focuses on planning and executing media strategies that boost client visibility and reputation across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits and other newsroom materials.
• Maintain and update media contact databases and targeted media lists.
• Coordinate interview requests, press briefings and media events with journalists and outlets.
• Monitor media coverage, compile daily/weekly reports and analyse key metrics.
• Identify proactive and reactive media opportunities and recommend engagement tactics.
• Support the development of key messages and collaborate with PR and creative teams to ensure consistent communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in media relations, public relations or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Relevant academic background in Communications, Journalism, PR or a similar discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with media monitoring tools.
• Basic analytics and reporting capabilities.
