Senior OutSystems Developer

About the role

PwC's advisory practice in Cairo is looking for a Senior OutSystems Developer to join its engineering team. You will design, build and scale enterprise-grade low-code solutions, act as a technical leader, drive best practices, ensure high-quality delivery and mentor junior developers, working closely with product owners, architects and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance applications on the OutSystems platform, from concept through development, testing, deployment and support.
• Lead technical design decisions, define application architecture and align with enterprise standards.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and give realistic effort estimates.
• Integrate applications with third-party systems, APIs and enterprise services (REST/SOAP, databases, identity providers).
• Ensure quality through code reviews, performance tuning, security best practices and adherence to OutSystems standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, application lifecycle management and environment promotion.
• Troubleshoot issues in development, test and production environments.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and work with UX designers, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an OutSystems developer, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of the OutSystems platform, including architecture, performance optimization and security.
• Experience with web and mobile app concepts (responsive design, state management, UX principles).
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle or similar) and data modeling.
• Experience integrating with REST and SOAP services, authentication and error handling.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD and version control (e.g. Git).
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• OutSystems certifications (Associate, Professional or Expert).
• .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs) and custom extensions.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), performance monitoring and logging.
• Previous mentoring or technical lead experience.
