Senior Payments Operations

About the role

Yassir is expanding its financial services platform across Africa and beyond. We are looking for a Senior Payments Operations professional to lead daily payment processing, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency within our fintech ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily back‑office payment routines, including pay‑ins, payouts and payment gateway management.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and collaborate with product and engineering teams to automate or redesign processes.
• Partner with tech, risk, product and compliance teams to troubleshoot system failures and resolve user friction quickly.
• Monitor adherence to KYC, AML, PCI DSS and local financial regulations.
• Track core operational KPIs, transaction success rates and conversion metrics using dashboards.
• Provide on‑call support outside regular hours to ensure 24/7 service continuity.

Required profile

• 3–6+ years of experience in fintech operations, payment processing or business analysis.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations and maintain service quality.
