Senior Payroll Specialist

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist in Maadi on a contract basis. The role covers payroll data accuracy, compliance with Egyptian and MENA labour, tax and social security regulations, leave and end-of-service administration, and monthly payroll processing and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and maintain employee master data, including bank accounts and finance dimensions, and review newly onboarded and status-changed employees.
• Ensure payroll complies with Labour Law, Tax and Social Security regulations and company policies, and implement regulatory changes with technical, functional, People Operations and Legal teams.
• Review and post leave transactions, maintain end-of-service records, and validate all payroll transactions including off-cycle runs.
• Process off-cycle payments through banking channels, upload payroll files to the bank platform, and reconcile payroll provision accounts monthly.
• Post monthly payroll and leave provision entries, prepare monthly payroll reports, headcount movement analyses and other MIS, and support internal and external payroll audits.
• Identify process improvements and report recommendations to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multinational or regional organization.
• Strong understanding of labour law, tax and social insurance regulations in Egypt and/or MENA countries.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills, with high accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ERP and payroll systems, Microsoft Dynamics and Workday.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
