Senior PET Engineer

About the role

The Senior PET Engineer will monitor and optimise PET preform injection moulding processes to meet production, quality and efficiency targets in a shift‑based manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor machine performance, production parameters, cycle time, downtime and scrap.
• Troubleshoot PET processing and moulding issues and implement corrective actions.
• Follow up on PET moulds, hot‑runner systems and machine settings.
• Identify and resolve common PET preform defects and process deviations.
• Support process optimisation, scrap reduction, cycle‑time improvement and productivity enhancement.
• Analyse production and quality data and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Tooling teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
• Relevant experience in PET preform manufacturing / injection moulding.
• Willingness to work in a shift‑based manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Strong practical knowledge of PET processing and injection moulding.
• Experience with PET preform injection machines, preferably Husky HyPET or similar.
• Good knowledge of PET processing parameters, injection & holding pressure, melt and mould temperature, cooling time, cycle time, hot‑runner systems, PET moulds and cavities.
• Ability to troubleshoot PET preform defects and identify root causes.
• Understanding of OEE, downtime and production efficiency.
