About the role
The Senior Procurement Engineer will lead the evaluation and management of local vendors, ensuring optimal quality, cost, and delivery for strategic materials. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to secure reliable supply and improve lead times.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze local vendors on quality, price, payment terms, warranty, HSE requirements and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to select new suppliers and set up alerts for critical long‑lead‑time materials.
- Prepare reports, charts and statistics on supplier performance and negotiate offers to obtain best specifications, prices and terms.
- Place orders, coordinate with forwarding companies, handle shipping documents and monitor shipment tracking.
- Manage customs release, transportation from port to warehouse and follow up on payment processes with accounting.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
- 5–7 years of purchasing experience.
- Strong planning, organizing, leading and supervising abilities.
Required skills
- ERP system experience
