Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities across both IT and non‑IT categories for a financial services organization. The role involves developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost‑optimisation while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for categories such as facilities, logistics, marketing, HR services, real estate, technology products, software, hardware, telecom and related services.
• Lead end‑to‑end procurement processes including market research, supplier pre‑qualification, RFI/RFP/RFQ, bid analysis, negotiations and award recommendations.
• Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction, cost optimisation and value creation while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, risk assessments and corrective action plans.
• Negotiate long‑term framework contracts covering pricing, payment terms, warranties and performance guarantees.
• Monitor market trends and inflationary pressures to adjust sourcing strategies and mitigate supply risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/MBA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in financial services and across multiple regions.
• Proven leadership of high‑value, complex negotiations.
• Strong ethical standards, integrity and adherence to compliance policies.
• Fluent written and spoken English and the local language.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with P2P/CLM/VRM platforms: Coupa, Ariba, Icertis, ServiceNow, Archer, OneTrust.
• ERP systems: SAP, Oracle.
• Advanced PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MIS reporting and advanced analytics.
