Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role
The Senior Procurement Specialist will lead the procure‑to‑pay function for the EDX exploration licences in Egypt’s Eastern Desert. You will ensure compliance with AngloGold Ashanti’s procurement governance while supporting operational continuity and effective supplier performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead tender processes to support procurement activities.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and assess commercial offers.
- Negotiate commercial terms in line with delegation of authority.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Ensure procurement compliance and adherence to company policies.
- Review contract terms and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with end users, support sourcing strategies, and manage procurement risks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering or business.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in mining, exploration, cement, oil & gas or heavy industry.
- Strong contract management and negotiation capabilities.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
