Senior Project Manager – Payments & Digital Solutions

About the role

Network International is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of delivery projects across Africa covering issuing, acquiring, digital payments, and cards & switching solutions. The role owns the full project lifecycle, from initiation through post‑go‑live stabilization, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality are met while protecting customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of assigned projects, managing initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
• Develop and maintain robust project plans, schedules, RAID logs, budgets and resource allocations, tracking variances and re‑baselining as needed.
• Drive UAT, scheme/regulator certification, pilot and production go‑live milestones with defined quality gates.
• Manage change requests, scope adjustments and impact assessments with clear commercial and technical rationale.
• Lead, motivate and align multi‑disciplinary teams (BAs, Tech Leads, Developers, QA, Operations, Scheme & Compliance) in a matrixed environment.
• Foster a "one team" culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, transparency and a customer‑centric mindset.
• Coach team members on delivery best practices, resolve performance issues and escalate when required.
• Serve as primary contact for client sponsors, business stakeholders and partner organisations, leading steering committees and executive reviews.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience delivering complex payment‑related projects across multiple African markets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to act as single point of accountability for internal and external parties.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional, matrixed teams without direct reporting lines.
