Senior Quality Control Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Control Engineer to be the primary technical liaison for our customers in the float glass industry. You will ensure that our products meet or exceed automotive, architectural, mirror and solar application requirements while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main technical contact for customer quality and performance issues, providing rapid support.
• Lead investigations of complaints, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical advice, application testing and validation for new product launches.
• Support customer audits, technical reviews and site visits with data and process‑control evidence.
• Monitor feedback and satisfaction metrics to drive product and service enhancements.
• Collaborate with production, quality and supplier teams to ensure float glass meets optical quality, thickness, flatness and surface specifications.
• Maintain technical documentation such as bulletins, guidelines and troubleshooting manuals.
• Promote voice‑of‑customer insights across the organization while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and other regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of technical experience in float glass or glass manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of float glass processes, common defects and corrective actions.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards and customer‑specific requirements.
• Proven ability to conduct root‑cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why or Fishbone techniques.
• Experience with statistical quality tools such as SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans and PPAP.
