Senior Software Engineer – C++ (Graph Lakehouse Platform)

About the role

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep C++ expertise to design and evolve the core execution engine and storage layer of its Graph Lakehouse platform. You will work on high‑performance, parallel query execution and ACID‑compliant storage for massive knowledge‑graph analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance query execution algorithms for massively parallel graph analytics.
• Adapt sequential algorithms for multi‑threaded and parallel execution on modern compute environments.
• Build and enhance an ACID‑compliant, high‑throughput storage layer for fast, reliable data access.
• Analyze and optimise performance, scalability, and resource utilisation across the database engine.
• Collaborate with engineering peers to design, review, and evolve core system architectures.
• Contribute production‑grade, maintainable, and well‑tested code in a complex, high‑scale system.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ with a focus on performance‑critical systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in multi‑threaded programming and concurrency.
• Solid foundation in computer‑science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
• Extensive experience developing software in Linux/Unix environments.
• Exposure to databases, distributed systems, or compiler/OS internals.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts.
