Senior Software Testing Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Testing Engineer to join our technology team in Cairo. You will lead quality‑assurance initiatives, design comprehensive testing strategies, and mentor junior QA members while ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test plans, cases and scenarios for both manual and automated testing.
• Lead test‑automation projects using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress or similar tools.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, performance, load and stress testing.
• Review requirements, specifications and user stories to ensure testability.
• Identify, document, prioritize and track defects through resolution and verify bug fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts and DevOps throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews and code reviews to embed quality early.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level QA engineers and share best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, frameworks and automation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on software testing experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead QA role.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript.
• API testing tools: Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI.
• Version control: Git.
• Performance testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner (optional but mentioned).
