Senior Static Mechanical Engineer – Gas Processing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Static Mechanical Engineer to provide expert support for a live gas processing plant. The role focuses on ensuring the integrity, safety and reliability of pressure‑retaining equipment throughout its lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent engineering judgment on piping, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, fired heaters and valves, addressing corrosion, wall loss, cracking, fatigue and leakage.
• Review inspection findings, anomaly reports and operating excursions, and define risk‑based recommendations for repair, monitoring or replacement.
• Perform fitness‑for‑service assessments, remaining life evaluations and critical thickness checks.
• Support technical change management, including MoCs, temporary repairs, reroutes and brownfield project scopes.
• Contribute to shutdown and turnaround planning by defining static equipment repair scope and risk‑based priorities.
• Participate in failure investigations, leak events and defect elimination activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in static mechanical engineering within the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
• Strong knowledge of pressure system codes and standards.
• Proven ability to translate inspection data into actionable maintenance plans.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and sound engineering judgment.
