Senior Steel Structures Technical Office Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a high‑caliber, detail‑oriented Senior Steel Structures Technical Office Engineer to join our team. The role involves senior‑level technical office operations, producing and reviewing detailed shop drawings, managing complex connection details, and providing expert technical support for major construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and finalize comprehensive steel structure shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Develop and audit complex connection designs and detailed structural models.
• Generate accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material take‑off (MTO) reports.
• Coordinate technical requirements between the engineering office, fabrication workshop, and site.
• Review and validate subcontractor technical submittals, variation orders, and material compliance.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve site construction issues and fabrication mismatches.
• Assist in reviewing contractual technical specifications and tender documents.
• Guide and mentor junior technical office engineers to ensure accuracy and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• More than 10 years of solid experience in steel structures technical office.
• Experience in the construction/steel fabrication sector is mandatory.
• Deep expertise in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and advanced structural design/detailing software.
• Strong capability in connection design, connection detailing, and troubleshooting fabrication issues.
