Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Lead supplier quality activities for assigned automotive components and materials, ensuring suppliers consistently meet approved quality, technical, and customer requirements. Drive supplier qualification, audits, problem resolution, corrective actions, performance improvement, and quality risk reduction across the local assembly supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor supplier quality performance, defect trends, PPM and rejection rates.
• Plan and conduct supplier process and product audits, capability assessments, and quality system assessments.
• Lead supplier qualification and approval for new suppliers, new components, and major process changes.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action activities using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and statistical methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Automotive or related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality within the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to conduct supplier audits, manage corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
