Senior Technical Engineer

About the role

The Senior Technical Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Masr El Gededa. You will lead the technical side of elevator projects, covering design review, installation supervision, testing, commissioning and ongoing maintenance support while ensuring compliance with safety standards, local regulations and company quality guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate elevator system designs and technical drawings.
• Supervise installation teams, conduct testing and commissioning activities.
• Diagnose technical issues on‑site and provide effective solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and project updates.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers and internal departments to meet project timelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering continuous improvement.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety codes, regulatory requirements and company policies.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in elevators or related mechanical/electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Proven experience in on‑site project coordination and troubleshooting in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good understanding of safety standards, relevant codes and regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across vendors, customers and internal teams.
• Leadership experience, including mentoring junior staff and organizing work schedules.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Prior experience in the elevator industry or building services sector in Egypt is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with digital tools for project tracking, documentation and communication.
