Service Crew – Underground Mining Support

About the role

The Service Crew supports underground mining operations at the Sukari Gold Mine, ensuring safe and efficient functioning of ventilation, power, and material handling systems. Working within the underground team, you will assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and ground support activities.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety regulations and underground mining protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance on underground equipment, including greasing, cleaning, and inspections.
• Assist in installing and removing ventilation pipes, power cables, fans, pumps, and other mining equipment.
• Handle, transport, store, and organise tools, equipment, and supplies required for mining operations.
• Support ground support activities such as installing rock bolts, mesh, and shotcrete.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members using two‑way radios.
• Record work activities, safety incidents, and participate in ongoing training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an underground mining environment.
• Experience operating concrete agitator trucks or similar equipment (preferred).
• Familiarity with batching plants and basic knowledge of concrete mixing ratios.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for pre‑shift inspections and minor troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with two‑way radios.
• Physical fitness to perform demanding underground tasks.
