Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Service Technician to perform on‑site maintenance, installation and commissioning of centrifugal pumps, valves and other rotating equipment. The role involves traveling to customer locations, diagnosing issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble single‑ and multistage centrifugal pumps, valves and rotating equipment.
• Evaluate component parts and measure shaft run‑out, bore dimensions and other critical tolerances using precision tools.
• Remove and install equipment at customer sites, aligning electric motors with dial gauges or laser alignment devices.
• Commission new pump sets and perform initial start‑up procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis and prepare detailed service reports.
• Adhere to company health, safety, attendance and punctuality policies.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with mechanical disassembly, reassembly and alignment of rotating equipment.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Required skills

• Use of micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers and dial indicators.
• Laser alignment device operation.
• Measurement of shaft run‑out.
• Root cause analysis (RCA) techniques.
• Preparation of service reports and timesheets.
