About the role
The Senior SGBV Officer will lead the adaptation of gender‑based violence (SGBV) standard operating procedures, tools and curricula for the Egypt Country Office. Based in Aswan, the officer will provide technical and operational oversight of case management, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services and ensure safe, survivor‑centred referrals.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and embed SGBV systems, SOPs, tools and training materials across programmes.
- Oversee implementation of SGBV response services, including assessments, referrals and follow‑up, ensuring compliance with Save the Children standards.
- Supervise and mentor case workers, coordinators and outreach staff, conducting regular case reviews and capacity‑building sessions.
- Coordinate with health, legal, psychosocial and protection partners to maintain up‑to‑date referral pathways.
- Monitor data quality, confidentiality and protection policies, and ensure accurate documentation in GBVIMS+ and Prime.
Required profile
- Grade 3 or equivalent senior professional experience in SGBV response and prevention.
- Proven experience supervising case management teams and delivering survivor‑centred services.
- Strong knowledge of child safeguarding and data protection standards.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the GBVIMS+ data management system.
- Experience using the Prime data platform for SGBV case documentation.
