Shift Engineer – Hotel Operations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Shift Engineer to join our hotel’s engineering team. You will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining all engineering systems during your shift to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and water‑treatment systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms and hotel departments.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and plumbing faults.
• Record all activities, breakdowns and corrective actions in the logbook or system.
• Coordinate shift handover with the engineering team and supervise technicians or contractors as needed.
• Report major issues, safety hazards or equipment failures to the Chief Engineer immediately.
• Support energy‑saving initiatives and proper use of hotel resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
• 2–3 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance.
• Familiarity with health, safety and fire regulations.
