Site Civil Engineer – Dandara Project

About the role

Scatec is seeking a Site Civil Engineer for the Dandara project in Nagah Hammadi, Egypt. You will be responsible for overseeing all civil construction activities on‑site, ensuring they meet quality, schedule, cost and HSSE standards while coordinating closely with subcontractors and the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise civil works including buildings, fences, roads, foundations, sewerage, drainage, trenching and lay‑down areas.
• Review and approve construction documentation submitted by contractors.
• Organise and lead pre‑construction meetings with subcontractors.
• Monitor daily contractor progress and trigger corrective or recovery plans when required.
• Handle technical queries and ensure work follows the latest drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate inspections, audits and witness points with quality inspectors.
• Support technical assessments, investigations and design reviews.
• Assist with NCR processes, corrective actions and final inspections.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related technician qualification, preferably with a wind or renewables focus.
• Minimum 5 years experience in heavy civil works (e.g., wind farms, roads, bridges, dams, large buildings).
• At least 3 years experience on EPC large‑scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of civil industry best practices, quality control systems and root‑cause analysis.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
