Site Operator – Sustainable Waste Management

About the role

Geocycle Egypt is seeking a Site Operator to run its sustainable waste‑management plant. The role ensures safe, continuous operation of all plant equipment while meeting production, quality and environmental targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor platform systems, adjusting feed rates to optimise performance while maintaining product quality.
• Record process parameters, downtime events and daily performance data in accordance with SOPs.
• Inspect and maintain mobile equipment, fire‑detection and firefighting systems, and PPE stock.
• Develop and apply risk assessments and Safe Work Instructions for existing and new activities.
• Manage stockpile aeration, temperature monitoring and alternative‑fuel (RDF, biomass, TDF) blending, receipt, inspection and unloading.
• Oversee biomass screening system reliability and ensure high housekeeping standards across the site.
• Monitor workforce attendance and support shift planning.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work independently on a 24/7 plant environment and follow detailed procedures.
• Good record‑keeping and analytical skills for operational data.
• Experience in handling industrial waste or alternative fuels is preferred.
