Software Development Manager

About the role

EVA Pharma, a pharmaceutical company dedicated to improving health and well-being, is looking for a Software Development Manager to join its digital transformation team. The role leads and manages multiple software development teams, sets technical direction and oversees project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage multiple software development teams, set performance expectations, give continuous feedback, coach and conduct performance reviews.
• Recruit, onboard and retain engineering talent, and manage development resources and budgets.
• Drive technical strategy and take part in architectural and technical decisions, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices that improve scalability, performance, security and maintainability.
• Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of software projects, managing risks and dependencies to deliver on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Work with product owners, infrastructure and other stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical plans and keep them aligned with business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8-10 years of progressive software development experience, including 3-5 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex software projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical background and understanding of development methodologies, technologies and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Required skills

• Experience with .NET technologies and Azure services.
• Technical leadership of software development teams.
