Software Engineer – Backend & SaaS Integrations

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design and build Python‑based backend applications that replicate popular SaaS tools such as Slack, Linear, Jira, Notion, Gmail, and wikis. The role involves creating robust integrations, validating their behavior, and delivering high‑quality connectors on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Python backend services (FastAPI, Flask, or Django) that emulate existing SaaS platforms.
• Implement and maintain integrations, ensuring accurate functionality through thorough testing.
• Extend and adapt existing connectors, performing internal QA before release.
• Build new connectors from scratch within agreed timelines.
• Conduct data and task mining to identify representative workflows for long‑horizon AI tasks.
• Author realistic tasks and evaluation rubrics, defining criteria for correct, partially correct, and deficient outcomes.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) throughout development and validation.
• Collaborate across connector and task tracks, participating in onboarding, calibration, and quality‑review cycles.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Solid understanding of version control, testing, and code‑quality best practices.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within distributed teams.
